Surf - BB

Surf - Salt water is no secret to editorial stylists for adding volume and texture, and anyone who has been in the ocean knows it too - that salty, sexy, sun-dried, wind styled feel (that seems such a shame to wash out). So while Bumble hasn’t exactly bottled the real thing, they’ve replicated (and in some ways improved) it, including Seaweed and Kelp Extracts to enhance moisture. Surf has texture, matte finish, volume and light hold. It is for anyone, excellent for wavy types and landlocked surfers with winter blues, adds body to fine hair and a nice texture for silver hair. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, before styling. Work through damp or dry hair, let it dry naturally or blow-dry with a diffuser. The less you touch it, the longer it will hold. Jade Jagger loves Surf Spray in London when not at home in Ibiza.

Seaweed Conditioner - BB

Seaweed Conditioner -  The perfect companion to the perfect daily shampoo is an equally perfect conditioner. These days there are many conditioners and they all promise so much. Seaweed Conditioner does exactly what it should: gently detangles hair and smoothes the cuticle. It won’t make hair feel weighty in any way, only easy to manage and not so “just washed.” Again, Bumble and bumble looked to the ocean for extracts that feed hair quickly and easily and help it shine. Just like Seaweed Shampoo the conditioner is mild, nutritious and color-compatible. It is great for practically anyone, but it is ideal for frequent bathers. To be used following Seaweed Shampoo.

Super Rich Conditioner - BB

Super Rich Conditioner - Two groups were instrumental in the birth of this product: the ever-rising chemically treated population coupled with the coarse, curly, wooly and wild. Both were vocal about what they insisted was a gap in Bumble and bumble’s conditioner range- Seaweed Conditioner was too light, Deeep too intensive for daily use - thus Super Rich Conditioner was born as a mid weight companion to Gentle Shampoo. Super Rich is moisture rich, nutritious, detangling and color compatible. It is great for practically anyone, but it is excellent for chemically treated, unmanageable, wildly, curly, wiry, coarse or afro textures. To be used following Gentle Shampoo. Sarah Jessica Parker wont have sex in any city without it. See if you can spot Bb. Products in Carrie Bradshaw’s bathroom (they’re in SJP’s too).

Deep Conditioner - BB

Deeep - Deeep was launched along with Super Rich Conditioner and Styling Lotion to complete a group of products (referred to at Bumble as the Gentle Family) to address the needs of the chemically or chronically parched. Deeep is a protein masque with intensive moisture and revitalizing, repairing and soothing strengths. It is for normal to dry types, especially good for chemically treated, curly, kinky, undernourished, sun damaged or over stressed hair. To be used once a week, for twenty minutes (maximum) under heat if possible. In salon or at home, wash hair, apply evenly when damp, not dripping wet. Swaddle head with cling wrap, a warm towel, a shower cap, or all three. For optimal effect, sit under a lamp, a dryer, in a steam room, a sauna, a hot tub, a hot spring or simply the sun. Relax. Breathe. Donatella Versace has been spotted buying Deeep in bulk at 10 Corso Como in Milan, Connie Voines, Executive Director of Bb. Salons, whose hair color is every bit as far from her God-given roots, uses Deeep nearly every day.

Hair Spray

Holding Spray - BB

Holding Spray - Holding Spray offers fairly firm yet flexible, workable control, whether misting a finished style and taming strays or saturating hair before applying hot irons and tongs to hold shape. In either case, itʼs a great all around styling tool with lasting hold that brushes through without struggle. Holding Spray also has heat protection in an easy to use pump spray. It is lightweight and great for anyone. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, during styling. Excellent for use with curling tongs, flat irons and the like. Hold about 10 inches away from hair and spritz in fluid, even strokes. When using with heat tools ,separate hair into sections and mist each one just prior to contact. To finish apply evenly to dry and styled hair or to touch up specific areas. Heather Locklear laps it up, a favorite of ballerinas and brides!

Extra Strength Holding Spray - BB

Extra Strength Holding Spray - This product in the Bb. fixative family is the most potent to date. Extra Strength Holding Spray is the ultimate finisher - a lacquer guaranteed to hold flips, dips, swirls, and curls all day long (and then some). Use it as a last step when hair is dry and styled for updos, high flying Mohawks (and faux hawks) and fins and modern volume. Extra Strength Holding Spray brags super-strong hold, a long-lasting finish and a liquid application. Great for anyone as a last step to finish and hold when hair is dry and styled.

Classic Hairspray - BB

Classic Hairspray - For those who find Does it All a bit too subtle, Classic Hairspray is tailor-made for todayʼs interpretations of yesteryearʼs bouffant, lacquered updos and curly confections with a modern softness that brushes out like a breeze. It is great for strong hold in a fine aerosol mist, with no residue or flakes, as well as being environmentally safe. Great for anyone, anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, Thickening Spray, Styling Lotion or any other structure product. Use it after styling to set. Hold about 10 inches away from hair and spray in fluid, even strokes or spot-spritz to touch up details. Pink keeps it extreme with Classic Hairspray.

Shampoos & Conditioners

Seaweed Shampoo - BB

Seaweed Shampoo - Shampoo obviously is meant to clean hair well, but not so well that is strips away layers from healthy hair. So, for the crucial ingredients in Seaweed Shampoo, Bumble went to the great, green seas for nutrients that make hair clean, shiny, soft and fresh. It is mild, nutritious, and color compatible. Seaweed Shampoo is practically for anyone, however, it is ideal for frequent bathers and should be followed by Seaweed Conditioner. The Seaweed twins (Shampoo and Conditioner) turned ten in 2003.

Creme de Coco Shampoo - BB

Creme de Coco Shampoo - Coconut oil has been touted recently as the latest nutritional wonder. (Pacific Islanders of yore are said to have enjoyed strong teeth, hearts, abs and flawless skin). Though Creme de Coco Shampoo isn't edible - you might wish it were since it smells so good - it's benefits are undeniable, even the surfactant (the stuff that actually cleanses) is a coconut derivative that lends an unusually luxurious lather. It is moisture rich, shine enhancing, soothing, and color compatible. It is for anyone, especially if dry or dull, except very fine types. Follow it with Creme de Coco Conditioner.

Thickening Shampoo - BB

Thickening Shampoo- While Bumble offers all sorts of solutions to the problem of super fine or lifeless hair in the styling department, they made Thickening Shampoo for those who need all the help they can get. Why not start building body in the shower? Not that bigger is necessarily better, but more and more clients are craving the glamour of fuller, sexy, retro styles to help them feel more special in such a boringly casual world. Of course for clients with body issues, it's a challenge, and they find most shampoos and conditioners too weighty for their delicate heads. So, to boost confidence and give fine, struggling hair a lift, we developed this light weight yet fortifying duo that builds body and gives a bit more oomph. Thickening Shampoo also helps seal split ends, though, if you've got them, it's time for a trim. It offers oomph, fullness, moisture, control, as well as being color compatible. For those with fine, thinning, limp, flyaway hair and anyone craving fullness, followed by Thickening Conditioner. Won Allure’s Best of Beauty award!

Alojoba Shampoo - BB

Alojoba Shampoo - The working name for this shampoo was “fabulous” because that was the first word it’s luxurious feel brought to mind. Bumble decided to call it by what it’s made of (since fabulous was already a trademark). Alojoba was chosen to reflect the key moisturizing ingredients: Aloe Vera and Jojoba Seed Oil. Add Cucumber, Chamomile, and Vitamins and you get Alojobacucumile, or a fabulously nutritious smoothie for the hair. With it’s certified organic ingredients, Alojoba Shampoo is a mild, vitamin rich, moisture rich, color compatible lightweight smoothie. Best for normal to dry types, to be followed by Alojoba Conditioner. Natalie Portman has proclaimed her love of Alojoba to Instyle magazine.

Gentle Shampoo - BB

Gentle Shampoo - Though our shampoos are generally formulated with ingredients that keep hair from feeling dry, our growing number of chemically treated clients - a group that’s sensitive to moisture loss -made what used to be a gap in Bumble’s cleanser range quite obvious. Gentle Shampoo was introduced especially for the chemically addicted (and chances are, chronically parched). It’s luxurious feel and fragrance quickly made it a favorite among the general population, and the best selling shampoo. It is Ultra mild, moisture rich, and color compatible. For those with dry, damaged, fragile, chemically treated or coarse textures. To be followed with Super Rich Conditioner or Deeep once a week. We hear that it’s a family favorite at super model Christie Brinkley’s Hamptons home.

Sunday Shampoo - BB

Sunday Shampoo - Every once in a while it’s a good idea to use a different shampoo from your usual one., partly to relieve what we call “shampoo boredom”, but mostly to remove various types of build-up that can make hair lifeless and dull (perfect for hardcore product junkies). We added extracts of ginseng, rosemary and sage to invigorate, stimulate and leave hair and scalp feeling lively and restored. Sunday is for clarifying as a weekly detox. It gets rid of build up of products, minerals, hard water, pollutants, you name it. Best for serious styling users, unless you are chemically treated. To be used weekly, a great preparation for a twenty-minute, weekly Deeep masque or immediately before a color service (but not after) Colorists use Sunday to prep hair for chemical treatment or to remove excess pigment.

Tonic Shampoo - BB

Tonic Shampoo - Tonic Shampoo made quite a splash when it arrived in the days when Seaweed Shampoo was the only daily shampoo in the line. Bumble designed it to have a bit more masculine appeal, and to offer customers, then and now, a refreshing alternative - a thorough cleanser and a strong sensory experience that soothes the scalp and leaves hair amazingly soft. There was never a companion conditioner per se, because Tonic Lotion fit’s the bill so nicely. It has the same herbal mix, feeds the hair what it needs and is particularly good for itchiness and such because it stays on the scalp all day. It is potent, scalp smoothing, stimulating and aromatic. Tonic is good for anyone, unless very dry or chemically treated. Use it daily followed by Tonic Lotion. The smell tells the story and either you love it or you don’t (no additional fragrant has been added).

Thickening Conditioner - BB

Thickening Conditioner - Thickening Shampoo was a hit when it arrived in the scene in 1996, and we used to direct clients with fine hair to one of the lighter weight conditioners, such as Seaweed, or better yet, Leave in. Silk Powder adheres to hair strands and creates space between them for fuller effect and helps keep Thickening Conditioner in the light weight category. It is great for oomph, fullness, moisture, control and color compatibility. It is for anyone with fine, thinning, limp, flyaway hair and anyone craving fullness. To be used following Thickening Shampoo.

Crème de Coco Conditioner - BB

Crème de Coco Conditioner - This tropic inspired balm brings to you beauty secrets of the South Pacific where coconut oil plays an important role in native hair grooming practices, usually blended with aromatic floral extracts. Consider Crème de Coco Conditioner a modern interpretation that makes full use of the humble Coconut - both oil and extract. True to tradition, several other botanicals contribute to this formula, Murumuru Butter and Mallow are both rich moisturizers. Wild Olive Seed Oil is a very effective softener, Horsetail and Nettle and Milk Thistle were all chosen for their ability to promote lustrous hair. The sum is an experience that will leave you dreaming of mythical islands. Enjoy its moisture rich, soothing, smoothing, color compatible, shine enhancement. Great for anyone, especially if dull or dry, except very fine types. To be used following Crème de Coco Shampoo.

Crème de Coco Masque - BB

Crème de Coco Masque - Crème de Coco Masque draws upon the unusually potent powers of a trio of tropical butters in one of the most sensual formulas we’ve ever created. It adjusts to deliver the right amount of conditioning to any hair type: it won’t weigh down fine hair and will soften the coarsest cases. Use once a week (or as often as you like). Words can’t describe how soft and silky this trio of tropical butters leaves your hair - you just have to feel for yourself! It is ideal for dry or dull hair, but good for all types (except super fine) as well as being color compatible. Use it as often as you like. To benefit from all that this masque has to offer, we recommend using it for at least 7 minutes or longer. It won’t damage your hair to leave it on for longer - some of our clients like to sleep with it in their hair over night or apply it while at the beach.

Alojoba Conditioner - BB

Alojoba Conditioner - It is no mirage! True to their desert roots, the Aloe Vera and Jojoba plants possess ingenious ways to retain moisture. The gel stored in the Aloe leaf and the oil pressed from Jojoba seeds are excellent for hair and skin, which is why they were the inspiration for (and serve as key ingredients of) this luxurious, lightweight formula. We added cucumber, Chamomile and Wheat Protein to complete a soothing, softening and scrumptious smoothie for the hair. Best for Normal to dry types following Alojoba Shampoo. Several ingredients are organically certified by the CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers), which ensures non-toxic chemicals, sustainable processing and accountability (so it’s the real deal).

Leave In (Rinse Out) Conditioner - BB

Leave In (Rinse Out) Conditioner - We’ve found this product to be especially good in warm climates or during the summer to reduce the fly away tendency that these (otherwise welcome) atmospheres bring to hair. It works wonders as an all day moisturizer on the beach. Of course it’s a welcome addition to the shower as well as a great, light detangler and softener. Leave In Conditioner is the cross over product that does double duty as a base for styling products. It has light weight moisture, rich in smoothness and frizz and flyaway control, with detangling and curl manageability. It is wonderful for anyone, extremely so as a gentle crème rinse, styling primer, for finer hair or as a moisturizer. Leave In can be used in the shower or afterward, alone or in combination with styling products. Comb or work it through clean, wet hair and rinse thoroughly. Or, work a dab through hands, fingers and hair and style. Stop there for a natural look or give it more structure or texture (or both) with additional products.

Foundation

Prep - BB

Prep - Prep, like most of Bumble and bumble’s products, was named for what it does. It prepares hair by detangling, it prepares hair by evening out the porosity of the hair shaft and enhancing it’s performance, it prepares hair for cutting (an alternative to Tonic Lotion) by lubricating the blade, dampening hair (instead of water) and helping to reveal texture as the cut progresses. Its low pH helps the cuticle to lay flatter and make hair shinier and smoother. Prep has a lower pH than neutral water. It is detangling, invisible, nutritious, lubricating, and a must before styling. Prep is great for anyone but it is best for virgin, uncolored, ultra fine, relatively healthy hair. Use it anytime to dampen hair and reactivate products already in the hair. Its impossible to use too much so spray liberally and evenly. Lauren Hutton keeps it natural with Prep (she loves Tonic Lotion, too).

Tonic Lotion - BB

Tonic Lotion - Tonic Lotion is unlike anything else, ever. It feeds the scalp and roots, it lubricates and detangles, it’s an ideal cutting lotion, it’s low pH smoothes and shines cuticles, it delivers tea tree oil and peppermint to the scalp for a fantastically soothing coolness, it acts as a transparent medium for styling products, enhancing their performance and easing their distribution. Take sumo tech, for example, which some people find challenging to smooth through hair because it dries quickly. Spread a bit between palms, spray Tonic Lotion onto hands, work the mix together and it will glide right through (and make for a gentler hold). Or, say you’ve used Styling crème in the morning and you want to freshen up for evening - spray Tonic Lotion through and Styling Crème will spring back into action. Tonic Lotion has a lower pH than neutral water. It is detangling, invisible, nutritious, lubricating, and a must before styling. It is great for anyone but it is a better choice than prep for dry, coarse, porous or colored hair. “One spritz and your back on top,” says Howard McLaren, jack of all trades and master of at least one (haircutting). He introduced the various powers of Tea Tree oil and initiated Tonic Shampoo and Lotion.

Structure

Styling Lotion - BB

Styling Lotion  -  The numbers flocking to colorists today mean more and more people with potentially damaged hair. With unprotected blow drying, setting and teasing, things can get ugly quick. Styling Lotion makes working with delicate or fine hair less risky. It is light both in terms of hold and weight, and it makes hair less vulnerable by lubricating, detangling, and gradually strengthening. Consider Styling Lotion a multi-talented mist, Thickening Spray’s less controlling sister or a gentle starting lotion for the uninitiated or naturalist. Bb’s former head of PR now heads a family and hasn’t much time to blow-dry. But she uses Styling Lotion nonetheless on cowlicks and stubborn bits, letting them dry on the run.
Styling Lotion promises gentle hold, lightweight strength, fewer tangles, less breakage as well as heat protection. Great for anyone., whether blow-drying or not, a good choice for fine, frequently styled, fragile or chemically treated hair. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion and before heated tools. Diane Lane combines Prep with Styling Lotion.

Thickening Spray - BB

Thickening Spray  -  This setting spray (one of Bumble's very first products) thrilled many clients with body issues, who never felt their hair was thick enough. While there is no doubt that Thickening Spray helps truly fine hair achieve styling lift off, it also works wonders with virtually any type- thick, thin or otherwise. Used with blow dryer, curling or crimping tongs, rollers and pins, needle and thread, tissue, staples, whatever stylist dream up - the sky is the limit. Thickening Spray is for structure, moderate hold, body and heat protection for anyone, whether blow-drying or not, not just for fine hair (despite the name).

Styling Crème - BB

Styling Crème  - It is Bumble and bumble’s answer to the gels and mousses that flooded the market in the late 1980’s around the time when it was conceived. It’s neither a gel nor a mousse, yet works a lot like both. Styling Crème is a setting medium that works well for many hair types, holding fairly firmly and giving extra texture. People with curly hair love it for definition, it’s great for thick, heavy hair when blow-drying, and for combing through short styles that dry naturally (also contains a UV filter). Styling Crème is strong holding, mid-weight and body building. It is great for anyone looking for strong hold.

Styling

Grooming Crème - BB

Grooming Crème - Grooming Crème was born when one of our Editorial Stylists began blending unlikely concoctions of hand and body lotions for use on hair at fashion shows. These experiments resulted in this sublime blend of oils suspended in a silky creme that is the essence of simple elegance. Not just for short hair: smooth it through a wavy bob, twist it up and let it loose when dry. Slide on a scarf as a head band and look like Grace Kelly in a minute. Grooming Crème is magic for men as well, reminiscent of 1960’s hair cremes and appropriate for both buttoned-up and loosened-up looks. It’s moisturizing oils make it a good substitute for conditioner. Use it for texture, separation, satin finish, moisture, volume control and definition. It’s perfect for anyone! Use it sparingly on very fine hair, good for thick, coarse, and afro textures or dry hair. It is good for men, minimalists or one minute styling. Use it any time, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, on it’s own or with other products to add texture and sheen. Start sparingly and build up as needed. Squeeze onto palm, work through damp hair with fingers. Tousle, comb or press. Models Bridget Hall, Caroline Murphy, Gisele Bundchen, and Naomi Cambell have all made Grooming Crème a habit.

Brilliantine - BB

Brilliantine - Bumble & bumble has always been drawn to stills and films from the 1930’s and 40’s. The haircuts were done largely with a razor and the finishes were mainly oil based. So as they developed their own razor craft, they designed brilliantine, their first product and texture tool to make the cuts come to life. A blend of oils suspended in a crème base (an improvement on the pure-oil originals) gives excellent separation, extra sheen and reinforces the texture of a good razor cut. Brilliantine’s label, which touts “a languid, sexy, slept in look,” put it on the map long before today’s trendy bed- this and head that. Brilliantine promises texture, separation, sheen and moisture. Brilliantine is really for anyone, but works exceptionally well on those with thick, coarse or dry hair. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, on it’s own or with other products to add texture and shine. Start with very small amounts and use as needed. Squeeze onto palm, work through damp hair with fingers to tousle and comb to sleek.

Defrizz- BB

Defrizz - Defrizz does just what it’s name says it does and though it boasts the most concise ingredient list of all products (with only two types of pure silicone), it has a long list of potential uses (not the least of which is to lubricate sliding doors). It coats the hair with an ultra light emulsion that creates a barrier against humidity and helps control curl, frizz, of course, and flyaway hair. It has a lovely, silky feel and sheen and it’s much lighter than most emollients. Defrizz is a perfectly neutral base for many of our stylists’ favorite styling product ‘recipes’ for natural looks. It lends some luster or softens hold, especially on finer hair where oils or waxes can be too heavy. It offers light weight humidity protection and shine. Good for curls and frizz prone types. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, before, during and after styling. Squeeze a few drops onto palm, work through hair with fingers. Use on damp hair to define curl and control frizz (blow dry or let dry) and on dry hair to add sheen, control, fly aways and add movement. Sarah Michelle Gellar had Defrizz sent to the set of Scooby Doo.

Bb Shine- BB

Bb Shine - Brilliant glimmer. Sleek texture. Sultry movement. This versatile, high sheen styling product offers endless shimmer and polished elegance. Inspired during photo shoots where it’s essential to make hair shine without leaving it greasy and unworkable in the process, we challenged ourselves during the creation of Bb. Shine to make hair shine without leaving it greasy and unworkable in the process, we challenged ourselves during the creation of Bb. Shine to make the ultimate lightweight, shine-enhancer for both on set and off. Bb Session Stylist Laurent Philippon tested countless formulas until we reached what he calls “parfait.” This aerosol mist allows feather-light finishing without causing hair to fall flat. It keeps flyaways in check, static at bay and calms down a voluminous blow-dry. It promises a lightweight, high-shine, polished finished. Great for those lacking luster, especially good for naturally dry or dull hair.

Straight- BB

Straight - In typical grass-is-always-greener fashion, naturally curly women often wish they had anything but. A period of time was endured when early ‘friends’ of Jennifer Anniston were burning out blow-dryers in pursuit of her suddenly famous hairstyle. They came in droves, and being New Yorkers they wanted it faster, better and cheaper, not to mention straighter. So Bumble & bumble came out straight away with a win-win solution. A blend of no fewer than five types of silicones, it makes short work of the curliest client, and properly coached in the way of the blow-dry, sends them home with a valuable tool. Straight promises humidity protection, heat protection, heat activated hold and super- soft feel. Straight is for all curly types, anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, before heat styling.

Wax

Styling Wax - BB

Styling Wax - A trick often used on photo shoots to get hold and shine is to use waxes. Before the creation of Styling Wax, the draw back was waxes didn’t wash out, it could take days, driving models crazy. Styling wax is a water soluble combination of wax and silicone that gives the kind of shiny finish usually achieved with oils, making it far less greasy then it’s predecessors. Styling Wax has texture, gentle hold, flexibility, shine and separation. Great for anyone! Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, while styling. Spread a dime sized dab or two through fingers and work through barely damp or dry hair. Use throughout for texture, or just on ends for shape and separation. Styling Wax is as popular among men (Ben Affleck, Dennis Leary, Matt Dillon, Michael Douglas, Sean Penn, Val Kilmer and Steven Tyler) as it is among women (Christina Aguilera, Halle Berry, Keri Russell, Selma Hayek and Sarah Michelle Gellar).

Sumo Wax - BB

Sumo Wax - Sumo Wax was arguably Bumble’s most arduos birth of all and the brain child of Laurent Phillippon, Bb. Editorial Stylist and a Parisian with endless curiosity. It all started when he became enthralled with the part hair dressing played in ancient Japanese sumo wrestling rituals, where wax is melted in iron cauldrons, applied and then cooled to set glossy, black helmets of hair. The contemporary equivalent from Japan proved a pale, greasy (and stinky) imitation, so Bumble and bumble set about finding the right blend of waxes to do Laurent’s bidding. Two years later they hit the mark and the wax was cast. As Bumblenanda once said, “Patience is more a matter of discipline than virtue. As such the rewards are even sweeter.” Like Styling Wax, Sumo Wax has texture, flexibility and separation but with stronger hold and satin sheen as well. It is a natural for short hair and it won’t overwhelm fine hair. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, wait until dry before styling. Spread a dime sized dab or two onto palms, rub briskly together to warm and soften, or heat by holding a blow dryer to the mouth of the jar and skimming the top layer. Evenly coat fingers and hands and lightly spread through hair. Heavy weights Harrison Ford and Sylvester Stallone love it, at the other end of the scale is fan Calista Flockhart.

Sumo Tech - BB

Sumo Tech - Sumo Tech is a distant, contemporary off spring of traditional Sumo Wax and, like many of Bumble & bumble’s styling products, a hybrid. It’s not a wax, not a paste and not a crème, but in some ways all of them. In any case it has become an all time favorite with both men and women: Wall Street clients love its “Memory” - they can look buttoned-down and groomed by day, and then funk it up with a flick of the wrist at night. One Accountant consultant swears she can blow-dry her hair sleek and wavy with it and it’ll last all week (another miracle of modern technology). Sumo Tech is for form, structure, texture, strong but supple hold, flexibility, matte finish and separation. Again, it is a natural for short hair, but wont overwhelm fine hair, perfect for highly textural cuts. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, wait until dry before styling. Spread a dime sized dab or two onto palms and work through barely damp or dry hair with fingers and style. Work quickly and try not to overwork, spray down with Tonic Lotion (or Bb. Shine) to rework or cut hold. Shakira is a Sumotechie!

Does It All - BB

Does It All - Does it all defies traditional categories and takes part in all phases of the styling process. It was engineered by the Bb. Session Stylist team and youʼll seldom see them on a job without itʼs distinctive bulge in a back pocket. Itʼs the ultimate working spray that is less about hold than subtle degrees of control and natural movement. It helps hair respond to heat tools (while protecting it) and gives the necessary ʽgripʼ for back-combing, pinning up or curling. It builds volume, leaves a very touchable finish and is virtually impossible to overuse. It boasts workable control, light weight heat protection, fine aerosol mist, as well as being environmentally safe. Does it all is for anyone and is one of the most popular session stylist tools in the industry. Use it anytime, after Prep or Tonic Lotion, during styling. It is useful with any styling method. Hold about 10 inches away from hair and spray in fluid, even strokes. When using with heat tools, separate hair into sections and mist each just prior to contact. To finish, aply evenly to dry and styled hair and build as many layers as you need (itʼs nearly impossible to use too much). Fashion icon Stephanie Seymour does it up with Does it All.

Spray de Mode - BB

Spray de Mode - When Bumble set out to create Spray de Mode, they wanted to make a hairdressing tool that offers this kind of flexibility on the catwalk (and sidewalk). The inspiration started with traditional French Hairdressing which celebrates, above all, great styling. Bumble & bumble enlisted French Hair dresser Laurent Phillippon to fine-tune the hairspray over several seasons at the Paris shows. He says it was amazing to watch the other stylists put down their cans and pick up Spray de Mode when they saw what he could do with it. You can brush it, tong it, crimp it, run your fingers through it every five minutes, and it keeps itʼs memory, which makes it magic backstage and at home as well.

Color Support

Color Support Shampoo - An extra-mild formula (to avoid stripping) with a low pH (to neutralize oxidation and smooth the cuticle) leaves a mere trace of enhancing color without damaging hair. A low lather (it's a myth that a head full of suds means thorough washing) is a sign of the kindest possible cleansing. Bb Color Support Shampoo must be used with conditioner. It is formulated without moisturizers that coat hair and hinder color absorption, leaving hair without the softness weʼve become accustomed to. For the same reason avoid using any other shampoo before Bb. Color Support Conditioner, as it may leave a barrier that will render color-enhancing properties ineffective. This Shampoo has shine, strength, vibrance, balance and fade protection for those who color their hair. Use every second washing. Wet hair, lather shampoo into palms, massage through and rinse thoroughly, follow with Color Support Conditioner. Sophie Dahl used it to maintain her lioness mane in the very memorable opium ads, Gwyneth Paltrow keeps it on hand for all of her brown phases.

Color Support Shampoo & Conditioner - BB

Color Support Conditioner - A lightweight yet thorough moisturizer which contains a complex blend of pigments (of the 2 color Support Products, this one boosts the most). It detangles, softens, shines, improves elasticity, and even maintains the tone you're after. Avoid using any other shampoos, besides Bb. Color Support Shampoo, before using Bb. Color Support Conditioner, as they may leave a barrier that will render color-enhancing properties ineffective. After Shampooing with Color Support Shampoo, apply it from roots to ends, comb through, leave on a minute and rinse thoroughly.

Hair Powder- BB

Hair Powder - Powder is a substance with a long history of use - even for hair. Before shampoos as we know them, powder was used to absorb oil, in turn adding a lot of volume and a dry, matte texture. Bb. Session Stylist Laurent Phillippon made the tradition modern by creating these aerosol styling powders to his specifications in five shades. They add a sexy va-va volume, extend the life of a blow-dry by absorbing excess oil and provide a dry texture that keeps pins and clips from slipping (so styles stay put). The shades enhance or shift hair color - these fantastic (and fun) forms of temporary color can be used to blend away roots between color appointments. Hair Powder gives instant fullness, blended roots, no slip updos and dry cleansing. Ideal for oily hair, styling fine hair and root touch-ups. Use it on dry hair to style or tint: Hair Powder requires a slightly oily surface to adhere to. We recommend a light application of Styling Wax as a bas if hair is clean. Section dry hair at the scalp, hold can 10-12 inches away from hair and spray thoroughly, being sure to penetrate all layers (if an overall effect is desired). Let dry, shake out excess with fingers and style. We powder our noses, why not hair too?
